Abstract

|
A case of the traumatic diaphragmatic rupture due to blunt trauma with the herniat on of the stomach through the ruptured left diaphragm, treated surgica￢lly, is reported and a limited review of the literatures on the subject are briefly discussed.
Increasing highway accidents and industrial injuries will bring physicians in every community face to face with this problem, and they should be prepared to recognize and manage it properly.
